ABC News 24 – Australia’s first free-to-air, 24-hour digital news service – started broadcasting on Thursday, 22 July right across the country.
ABC News 24 is available on digital Channel 24 and is an HD service. TV viewers will need an HD-compatible set-top box or an HD-compatible digital television in order to access the service. This new service is also available on the Freeview platform. HD Foxtel viewers will find ABC News 24 on Channel 202; Austar viewers on Channel 24.
ABC News 24 will also be streamed live at abc.net.au/news , on iView as well as on the popular ABC iPhone application (the free download will be available from iTunes).
